[The location is only too obvious when he awakens. How recently had he seen that bunk above him? And how often? Six months wasn't a long stretch of time comparatively, but when you've spent a good two years in complete darkness, waking up to such a sight definitely stands out. And even beyond that, there's something about the coloration here...

It doesn't take him long to notice a few key things. 1: that his body lacks any coloration, and 2: that the face peering out from inside the mirror - in full color no less - isn't his.

...So. It's his turn now. A sense of fear begins to constrict his heart, but he pushes aside the feeling as best as he can and makes for the door. The sooner it's over, the better...]

[A - the dormitory hallways]

[When he steps into the boy's dormitory hall to begin investigating, he freezes at the sight of the mirror down the hallway. Even though it's quite some distance away, he can see flesh tones in there, and somebody waving cheekily at the viewer.

His first instinct is to back into his room and try to see if he can't get past the mirror and out the window, but if someone spots him quickly enough, they may just be able to catch him instead.]

[B - the forest]

[Either way, he can later be found walking into the dense forests around the school, all the way to the barrier surrounding it. While he seems initially surprised upon hitting the barrier to the west of the classrooms, his expression quickly changes to one of contemplation. His hand curls up under his chin as he considers what all of this means.

It's definitely a smaller campus than he remembers. That, and... odd, too. Since it's his Heart, he would have thought it would be around... But if it cut off here, there's no way that could be in this World after all. How strange...]

[Yeah, nice try. Lalli sprints over just in time to stick his boot in the door to Sasuke's room. He doesn't advance any closer than that, however.]

[Instead of being terribly threatening, he looks between Sasuke's fist and the glass with a puzzled expression.]

Are you trying to cut your hand?

[Why would anyone do that???]

[Shortly:]

I'm trying to leave.

[Because there's a stupid huge mirror that's in his stupid way so obviously the best way to get around it would be to just break the thing, right?

Judging by the way his fist rests on the glass, it was wildly unsuccessful. Even the colorful reflection seems to find it hilarious, openly (if silently) laughing at the attempt.]

...But that's a mirror.

[Mirror + "leave" = ?????]

[Lalli looks back over at Sasuke's colourful friend, tilting his head at it. Maybe that's supposed to be the change that came over Sasuke... but why is he not an animal, then, like Liao and Lalli himself?]

Someone's in the way, anyhow.

[not_that_sasuke]

It should be a window.

[He remembers the dorm layout well enough, at least. It's likely the mirror was just placed over it.

Noticing Lalli, the figure in the mirror gives him a cheeky wave. 'Sup?]

[Lalli waves a bit to the mirror, even more lost than before.]

But... the last Heart, Hinata's or whatever... that changed from his memory too, some parts. He said so.

I thought I could still break through.

[He Tried, okay. The reflection seems to find this pretty funny, giving a grin and leaning casually against the mirror's edge.

"Ah-ah-ah. You can't run away that easily."]

[Lalli won't be able to hear the voice, but Sasuke's reaction is immedate, his eyes widening as he turns sharply to face the reflection head on. It simply tilts its head, a knowing smile on its face.]

...

[Lalli watches curiously, nowhere near astute enough to read the colourful boy's lips. However, he does move a little closer to Sasuke and the mirror.]

Who's he?

[not_that_sasuke]

[Great. Now he gets to deal with this jerk not only appearing, but also talking every time he sees a mirror.

The reflection just laughs.]

....He's my brother.

[Said brother gives a mocking bow. Nice to meet you!]

[soloactor]

...Why is he... eeekh, never mind.

[Hearts. Who even knows why these places do what they do.]

He's annoying.

[not_that_sasuke]

[The reflection seems to be insulted when he hears that. Rude!]

You have no idea.

[...And now he's giving a pretty murderous smile. You wanna go, little bro?]

What's he want?

[Lalli seems unruffled by that look the phantom is giving him. In fact, he's focusing more on Sasuke.]

[not_that_sasuke]

To annoy me, probably.

[And now he just looks unimpressed. "Geeze, talk about cold."]

--Let's just go find the key already.

[soloactor]

[Now there's a sentiment he can get behind. Lalli nods and walks back out of the room, dismissing the mirror-person like a nonentity. Instead, he stands out in the hall and looks both ways.]

I haven't mapped this place yet...

If you're mapping, it would be easier to start with the building.

I think... I've never been inside, but the girls' dorm should look a lot like this one.

Okay. Where is that?

[Lalli readies his stolen paper and pencil once again.]

[not_that_sasuke]

It should be close to these dorms. [Then again, the mirrors...]

...It might be in a different place, though. It would probably be easier to leave the dorms and see how it looks from there.

[And with that in mind, he'll begin walking for the exit!

Sure enough, the dorms are right next to each other, as the paths and signs pretty clearly indicate.]

[Check check check... according to the fabulous mods there is nothing to be found in these dorms, so Lalli just kind of sketches it without further action.]

[Once they've finished that and are out in the forest again, Lalli squints through the trees at the...]

What is that?

[He points at the balcony. Do you people seriously have rooms with no ceiling? What kind of weirdos are you?]

[...?]

It's a balcony. It just lets you go outside without leaving the building.

[soloactor]

Why... would you want to do that.

[not_that_sasuke]

If you've just taken a bath and you don't want to go outside and get dirty, but you still want to breathe the fresh air... things like that.

...Although I'm not sure how many of the students here actually care about that.

HEADING OFF TO THE BALCONY

[soloactor]

...I don't get it.

[Like, why don't you just... go outside...]

But it looks like it would be a good vantage point. I'm going up there.

[LALLI YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE IT IS--]

You can access it on the higher floors. You just need to walk down the hallway in the direction of the ground floor entrance.

[He'll go ahead and follow along because sure, why not.]

[ And there, in full color, is the Cheshire Cat, perched on the railing. He's dressed a bit differently, though. While the hood and arms are the same as they remember, what can be seen clothing-wise under that is quite obviously a school uniform. Seems he's having a bit of fun with his own appearance.

The hood is presently down. ]

[Hey, cat. There's probably some comment to be made here about how the human gets more catlike and the cat gets more humanlike, but really, that's a lot of effort that Lalli doesn't feel like expending right now.]
