[The location is only too obvious when he awakens. How recently had he seen that bunk above him? And how often? Six months wasn't a long stretch of time comparatively, but when you've spent a good two years in complete darkness, waking up to such a sight definitely stands out. And even beyond that, there's something about the coloration here...

It doesn't take him long to notice a few key things. 1: that his body lacks any coloration, and 2: that the face peering out from inside the mirror - in full color no less - isn't his.

...So. It's his turn now. A sense of fear begins to constrict his heart, but he pushes aside the feeling as best as he can and makes for the door. The sooner it's over, the better...]

[A - the dormitory hallways]

[When he steps into the boy's dormitory hall to begin investigating, he freezes at the sight of the mirror down the hallway. Even though it's quite some distance away, he can see flesh tones in there, and somebody waving cheekily at the viewer.

His first instinct is to back into his room and try to see if he can't get past the mirror and out the window, but if someone spots him quickly enough, they may just be able to catch him instead.]

[B - the forest]

[Either way, he can later be found walking into the dense forests around the school, all the way to the barrier surrounding it. While he seems initially surprised upon hitting the barrier to the west of the classrooms, his expression quickly changes to one of contemplation. His hand curls up under his chin as he considers what all of this means.

It's definitely a smaller campus than he remembers. That, and... odd, too. Since it's his Heart, he would have thought it would be around... But if it cut off here, there's no way that could be in this World after all. How strange...]

[Well, at least he isn't green this time. The fangs were a bit troublesome and pricked at his lips if wasn't careful, but they weren't too sharp and didn't break through the skin.

Liao had wandered out of his dorm, wondering what kind of malicious mischief this world had in store for them...and whose heart he was wandering about in now. It's as he steps out that he sees Sasuke freezing in his tracks and then backing abruptly into his room like he's seen a devil.

He didn't get a good look at Sasuke, but maybe the boy saw something terrible wrong with his reflection. He should check on him. He heads to the door and opens it.]

Sasuke.

[When Ken wakes up, it's with a little bit of discomfort, something pressing against his back. ... It's easy to figure out what's happened, though harder to figure out whose heart he's in. Not his, not Hinata's, and not Harley's, so those three are out. One of the others, then. He takes a little time in the dorm room to clean himself up carefully before heading out. Why waste the opportunity, after all?]

[School Hallway]

[Mirrors. A lot of mirrors, but honestly he doesn't mind. His tail is wagging along behind him, though the bandages around his neck is worrying. It's too much like a collar, which makes him nervous, but it's not the same, so it's okay. He's poking around, looking into rooms, but never too far. It's too easy to get distracted right now, especially once he sees someone he recognizes.]

[The Forest]

[Okay, he's had enough of inside. Once he's outside, he's finding a clear spot and running around. Why is he running around? There's a very simple reason.]

[... His tail is wagging behind him and he wants to catch it. Koromaru seemed to find this fun, and it turns out he was right. So it's easy to follow the trail of laughing and barking noises as ken whirls around in circles, grabbing his tail and letting it go again before he falls onto the ground with a laugh.]

[The scene he finds is Sasuke, looking normal as ever if completely monochrome, backed up against a large mirror that has taken the place of his window. Peering out from behind him is a very similar looking boy, save for the part in his hair, the grin on his face, and... the fact that he's in color.]

...Zhang Liao.

[His voice is reluctant, like a kid caught doing something he shouldn't be.]

[ He knows this heart isn't his, considering that they were just in it, but that doesn't change much of anything. They're in a school, so the first thing Hinata himself tries to do is... search for a little something.

Maybe there's something he can find here. ]

Are any of the classroom doors open? [ That definitely doesn't sound like something the cold Kamukura would say; it seems that Hinata has calmed down some after the outbursts, as his eyes seem to waver, flickering in tone as if not knowing what shade of sepia it wants to be. ]

I wanted to see if I could find something real quick before we start looking for puzzles.

[...Tiny spear child, what are you doing.]

[Presumably, bakeneko are not the sort of cats stupid enough to chase their tail(s). And even if they were, the one white tail was so long that Lalli could grab it easily. ...The other tail was so short that he didn't even want to bother.]

[He'd been wandering around the forest, mapping it out and greatly appreciating the enhanced hearing that comes from having kitty ears, when he heard a ruckus. Turns out it was just the one kid, who had developed traits of an animal Lalli had only ever seen as an Infected. He casually tried not to remember watching the creature die. Someone... someone had stabbed him... not Lalli, but someone...]

That's.

[ Hinata... while not all completely there has managed to calm down somewhat; he's tamed Kamukura Izuru to an extent. Maybe it's because when he wakes up staring at an unfamiliar ceiling, he realizes that they're no longer in his heart. Maybe he doesn't have anything to fear.

Except he would be wrong, wouldn't he? His appearance still remains the same as always, Kamukura's long hair, dark eyes. Thankfully it's harder to tell what color exactly his eyes are, considering that he's all in sepia. (Not that he's noticed that yet.)

Once he's out of the dorms, he decides to find a classroom. This is a school, isn't it? Someone has bound to find something that can solve his immediate problem. It's a bit selfish to do such a thing rather than focus on the part that involves finding the key and getting out of here, but to Hinata Hajime, it's rather vital. Although he doesn't seem to have noticed his tanuki-like features. He's been ignoring any mirrors, not bothering to even catch the slightest glimpse of himself.

He knows what he looks like. He needs no reminder. ]

[Ken's tail is wagging, held high and excited, and his ears are pricked up.]

This place smells weird. What are you looking for?

[It's hard to focus when everything smells really interesting and distracting.]

[Ken looks up at Lalli and grins, bounding over to her and sniffing a little. He smells... interesting. His tail wags in excitement as he bounces on the soles of his feet.]

A - response to Sasuke

[Spotting things quickly is one of Lalli's few talents, and besides, it's kind of hard to miss something when literally the entire rest of the world is in a different hue than it. He had already discovered the new additions to his person (and liked them quite a lot, actually), so the odd reflection in that mirror didn't bother him.]

[Liao didn't have all that colour weirdness going on. Maybe it was just Sasuke. And why was his reflection... different...]

[Wait, he has a name, doesn't he?]

B - forest. snksnksnksnksnksnk, and everyone else!

[Yes. Forest. This is the best thing. Lalli seems to be in a good mood as he pads through the forest, once again making maps on stolen paper. Though his ears are pricked to catch sounds, his split-tails are held up in a pleased way, and he really feels the need to start purring. But that would be too much noise.]

[...Oh, to hell with it. He starts purring.]

[Lalli backs right the heck up. Please don't get too close to him, people invade his personal space a lot and he's not sure why...]

Weird how, exactly? [ He... can't help but stare a little at Ken's wagging tail. What's up with that? ]

As for what I'm looking for-- scissors. I've decided from the very beginning to live on as Hinata Hajime. I can't stand looking like him forever.

[ Besides, his hair is ridiculously long and a huge fucking mess. Seriously, how did it even become this way anyway??? It is a mystery. ]

[ Lalli will eventually find there are a large number of snakes in the forest. They are relatively harmless, but like the phantoms of the people inside the school, they are see-through.

Two snakes appear to be talking quietly amongst themselves about something. He can approach them, if he likes, or move on. ]

...A... what?

[Lalli squints. What is this "dog" of which you speak. He's never heard that term used before.]

One of the offices, huh... well, it's worth a shot. Have you passed by it yet?

[ Since it's more than a little important to him. ]

[soloactor]

[Well, I mean, of course he's going to approach the mystical spirit snakes. ...Slowly. Carefully. They may be venomous spirit snakes, and that would be bad.]

[Let's see, how do you do a snake again?]

[That was pretty good, yeah.]

[ The snakes turn to stare at Lalli as if he's insane. The one on the left seems particularly offended, flicking its tongue as if in anger. They can, indeed, speak. ]

[ One of the snakes departs by disappearing slowly, leaving the other there. It glances back to Lalli. ]

... I'm sorry, she's a little touchy. You're a bakeneko, right? Maybe you're just, um, not used to this. What did you need?

[Lalli looks between the remaining snk and the spot where the other snk had once occupied.]

...That's how snakes talk where I'm from.

[He crouches down, to maybe get on a closer level to the snake?]

...Bake... neko? Okay.

Dog. Small, fluffy, pack animals that humans domesticated and now they're kind of the best animals ever.

[He leads the way, tail upright now that he's got a Serious Mission, though it does wag slightly as he walks.]

[Well. Got infected. But he'd rather say they died, because death is a mercy compared to this.]

[ The snake looks up at him, curious. It's never seen anyone quite like Lalli before. He seems pretty confused, so maybe it can help. ]

You mean you've never talked to any other spirits? Were you isolated? Is that why you're here? Well, I wouldn't wander for too long, the faculty gets mad when students skip classes.

[He just. Sighs, and ducks his head down.]
