[The claim that Ankh has killed Sebastian an undue number of times here is unfair, but by this point, Ankh is finally starting to recognise the cat's jabs for the useless needling they are. He hasn't forgiven him--far from it--but maybe he's a bit less likely to give into the probably futile urge to murder him. With the way he's poking the both of them, it's probably what the cat wants.
