i will burn my dread
Who: Everyone!
What: Welcome to the Dark Hour!
Where: In the Strega warehouse.
Warnings: Possible blood and gore, Persona 3/general SMT-level disturbing topics, possible violence (knowing this group). Will edit if needed.
[When he first wakes up, Ken finds himself lying on a bed. That in itself isn't so unfamiliar, but this one has dents where it should, the shape of a small body pressed into it over weeks and months, and the sheets are soft and scratchy in just the right places and -]
[Oh no. He sits up and pulls himself out of bed, reaching almost automatically for Koromaru but... he's not there. Of course not. He'd been expecting the Tower, but this is worse, because they're not here because this is his Heart, not theirs, and because -]
[No. He has to think of what to do. He grabs the dangpa that Shinjiro made him and the copy of Gae Buidhe that Diarmuid gave him, strapping them onto his back. He needs to stay defended in this place, no matter what - the last Heart taught him that much.]
[The familiar pressure of the Dark Hour doesn't bother him, but it's worrying. It should be gone now. They won. It's over. Even in his Heart, it shouldn't be around. But it is, and there's a brief flare of panic before -]
[No. He needs to get going. The puzzles aren't going to find themselves.]

[Harley finally makes it down the hall of the gallery proper, eyes a little wide as she takes in the increasingly not family friendly paintings covering the walls. She steps in closer to examine them, taking another bite out of the nutrition bar; it wasn't great, but it was what they had and she was eating it... she even had a few extras on hand and a bottle of water balanced with her mallet.]
Eww... ya gotta do somethin' about yer decoratin', Ke- [She cuts off at the voice, however, spinning round in place as her gaze darts for a source.]
One'a one an' three inside? Wha? [She swallows the bite in her mouth, tossing the wrapper aside before stepping backward further down the hall and toward the others. She pauses now and again, however, because she keeps getting the distinct feeling that she's hearing familiar voices, low and almost imperceptible.]
H'lo? [She backs up, nearly bumping into Sasuke, and speaks without looking at the others.]
I ain't the only one hearin' things, right?

[What exactly constitutes as a "fake" here? All of the paintings have got to be fictitious already, right?
But then there's the voices again. He'd mainly been ignoring them, but at Harley's prompting, he tilts his head to listen more closely.]
--No, I heard it too.
[Congrats Harley, this is not a case of you being crazy.]
