[world 5] i will climb mount zinit, into the forbidden zone.
Who: the Alices and their neat new hats
What: Qilby's heart is open for exploration!
Where: world 5, Hell Lab on Mount Spaceship
Warnings: it's time for planetcide, naughty children...
Qilby steps through the door first, and when the first blast of fresh air hits him, it's nostalgic. He closes his eyes against the wind, opens them again, and...
Part of him feels warmth welling in his chest; it's familiar, the spitting image of the second place the Eliatropes called home. Vili is there, bright and warm as it is in the summer, and he wants to sink into it: to feel small things like grass against his cheek, like the way wakfu pulses just under the surface. The other half of him knows it's not real, and dread sinks from his throat into the pit of his stomach.
He'd been trying pointedly to ignore that his heart, too, would be laid bare. It's easy to spectate when your own dignity isn't at stake; it's easy to sniff at others' insignificant problems when your own are not being amplified. He keeps looking over his shoulder for his family, but they aren't there, and he knows that. The only thing here for him is a key and five (once six) barely familiar faces.
Now, let's hope he's not going to get stabbed in the neck.
It is probably obvious whose heart it is when he forges ahead, straight for the rusting door (how has the Zinit become this poorly maintained?), and settles his hand in the groove to unlock it. (Then, it is probably obvious by the hats whose heart it is, also.)

[ Rei can't help but pout a little bit as she tugs at the edges of her hat, which almost looks like long animal ears; it makes her feel shorter than she already is, as she's only 4'9".
But she plans on following suit to the door, playing the role as the observer. She won't actively be doing anything unless prompted, really. ]

[He almost takes it off to check, but. He really doesn't want to know.]

[ Because she's somewhat of a masochist that she wants to see what kind of torture her own world would give her. ]

[Even if it's nothing. Everything comes to nothing in the end anyway.]

[ That way, she can go back to Hajime, back on Jabberwock Island. He's the only person that matters to her. The only person that she has. ]

Do we really need to wear these things? Don't they seem a bit unnecessary?
[Well she'd like to think they are but... who knows.]
no subject
[Lightly:] They don't look bad, though.
no subject
[To her they just look silly but--]
...well, I guess some people might find them cute.
no subject
[ Not that she...cares, really, about that. ]
no subject
[Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but...]
no subject
[ That they'll make an odd group, that is. ] But I guess that isn't that important.

But she can't help but curiously hover a bit as Sebastian starts curiously reaching for things.]
What are you looking for?

I was wondering what it was... since I've never been in a lab before.

The test tubes make him stare, and he's not sure what to do with it. It reminds him of Eko's tower, and he doesn't like it. Nue's massive form over his brother... this place is wrong like that place was wrong.
He clenches his fist, but doesn't move. He just stands there, staring at one of the test tubes for a long while.
no subject
[ The fact that he seems to be looking at them intensely along with the whole fist clenching thing, she can't help but assume. ]
Or do you not like scientific labs like this?
no subject
It reminds me of something I've seen in my world.

[He turns away from it to look her in the eye. It's not like she cares, probably. So whatever.]
Never did pay much attention in science class, anyway.
no subject
I guess. Well, we should probably find the key...

[He goes to attempt to look through some of them.]
