Who: The Cheshire Cat and whoever comes across him
What: Cheshire Cat has appeared, as he is wont to do. He's even fishing!
Where: Jabberwock Island, beach
Warnings: Cheshire is being Cheshire, and thus cryptic and mindfucky
[ Some time after they open the music venue, beach house and the ranch, Cheshire can be found on the beach. Sort of. He's waded into the water, and is fishing with his paws. Sitting patiently, he seems to be deep in concentration. ]

That's disgusting. You're going to get all filthy.

[ He'll snicker, then toss a random ball of seaweed at the Rabbit. Not that it matters--he knows he's not actually there. ]
You should actually come. The sun might do your skin a bit of good. Mweehee!
no subject
... Stop being coy. And no, that's not an excuse for you to make a fish joke. You know why my skin is this color, and sun's not going to improve it.

[ This time his laugh is an outright cackle. ]

After the above thread. (Feel free to reply en masse to this one, too)
It reads as follows:
" - NO LOITERING
- NO FISHING
- NO MOVING THE SIGN
- NO MURDERING
- NO SHIRT, NO SHOES, NO PROBLEM! IT'S A BEACH! BUT TRY TO WEAR SOMETHING FOR PUBLIC DECENCY!
- CLAMS WELCOME, INQUIRE TO: THE CARPENTER AND THE WALRUS!"
... What a weird sign. His ear twitches lightly now and again as he sleeps, but he otherwise seems to be thoroughly ignoring the Cheshire Cat. Just how did he get in here if he can't move anyway? ]

[He considers the rabbit for a minute, and then takes off his jacket to try to drape it over the sleeping rabbit.]
no subject
... Surprise? ]
... Oh. It's you. The smallest Alice.
no subject
I didn't mean to wake you up.
[But since he doesn't need it, Ken will just put it back on.]
I guess I am the smallest... though I'm actually fourteen, depending on how you count it.

I thought you couldn't move.
[His voice is raised ever so slightly from the usual quiet, though it's still not nearly loud enough to be considered anything close to a shout.]
it's okay!

What's the hurry, Alice? Beach is plenty open. Good fishin' going on right now, too!
no subject
Why do you call me Alice? [A change in topic, a diversion from the original question. But Chesire probably knows what the answer to his question would've been anyway, Zhang Liao's been pretty clear about his dislike of the cat, from the tension in his shoulders and the frosty look he's giving the cat.
There's nothing honourable about whisking people away with magic. The cat doesn't deserve any politeness.]

Why not ask the others? They might know. But I'll give ya a hint. Alice, Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, Jabberwock... They're all connected.
[ And then his eye will narrow. Now comes the fun part. ]
...In fact, why not ask that one Alice about it? The one with the emotive hair? He'd probably know.

[Although, watching that pitiful attempt does make Lalli kind of want some fish.]
[Keeping a fair distance from the Cat, Lalli sets to work putting together an improvised fishing rod using the materials nearby, baiting it with some pretty brightly-coloured leaves. He then takes off his boots, rolls up his pants, and trots right out next to the Cat to fish.]
[Let him show you how it's really done. Weirdo.]

You enjoy fish?
no subject
[Hell, most of his diet consists of fish. That's what happens when you live on small-ish islands. It's been almost impossible to find fresh fish since they set off on the expedition, though.
And even the canned fish was cruelly taken from them by a jerkass redhead.. So now that the opportunity has arisen, of course he's going to fish for ALL THE THINGS.]Course, you do.
[Yanno. Because cat.]
no subject
[ Speaking of which, that fish is going to be slurped up whole. Granted, with how wide his grin can get, it's not surprising, but as everything settles back into place, there's the sound of something squishing. ]
Hey. I've got a question.

What're you doing?
[Her master was not big on fishing, and she's never really seen anyone fish like this.]

[ It's a heart, and hearts don't exactly recover the same way as a body. ]

"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things:
Of shoes - and ships - and sealing-wax -
Of cabbages - and kings -
And why the sea is boiling hot -
And whether pigs have wings."
[He's onto you, Cat.]

""But wait a bit," the Oysters cried,
"Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that."
[ And then he's going to snicker, tilting his head. ]
It's a funny poem. Got nothin' to do with me besides being amusing, though.
no subject
[Because if it's not, that's a hell of a coincidence.]

[ And he's going to impale a fish on his claws, drawing it out of the water. Said fish is oddly patterned in reds, whites and blacks. ]
